Susan Dorwart, Certified Pilates Instructor

A resident of Truckee since 1996, Susan has been involved in the fitness industry for 28 years. Her background includes Jazzercise, because she loves to dance and more recently, Pilates for the last 5 years. She enjoys the focus on the core, which assists in daily activities as well as supporting an active lifestyle. Besides strengthening the core, Pilates increases flexibility, isolates and works various muscle groups without stressing the joints. It also enhances over-all well being, ease of movement and posture and balance. She credits her good health to the balance of Pilates as it relates to her love of life, which includes cycling and cross-country skiing.

Susan continues to teach pottery to both children and adults, a passion of 40 years, that centers her creative side. She also shares her active time with her husband and dog while she enjoys the beauty of the mountains while hiking or snowshoeing.
